Tuition & Fees

The Child Development Center charges a consistent monthly tuition* rate for all children regardless of whether thier parents are classified as a student, faculty, staff or community resident.  The monthly tuition rate is base upon the yearly budgetary needs of the Center divided into twelve equal payments.  Therefore, the Center does not prorate tuition due to Center closures, such as, holidays, breaks, professional development and training days or University closures. The Center does not give child care subsidies or siblings discounts.  Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are included in the tuition (meals are prepared by our staff nutritionist).

The CDC accepts tuition clients as well as client’s eligible for government-sponsored services. The deposit, application fee and annual supply fee do not apply to clients who receive child care assistance from the Rural Capital Area Child Care Management Services System (CCMS). Clients who have applied, but have not been accepted by CCMS, must pay tuition and fees.

Discounts for second children, Texas State faculty, staff and/or students do not currently exist. The cost for non-tuition paying clients is established by the government through the CCMS Office and is calculated on a sliding scale based on the client’s ability to pay.
