Dr. Ani Yazedjian

Ani Yazedjian, Assistant Professor of Family and Consumer Sciences at Texas State University, received her doctorate in Human and Community Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.   

In the past year, she has taught Lifespan Development, Problems in Adolescence, Cultural Diversity of Families, Family Interaction, Family Relationships, and Program Evaluation.   

Her main research interests focus on adolescents’ identity development, in particular ethnic identity, and the role of families, peers, and schools in promoting ethnic identity development. In addition, she is currently working on a longitudinal research study with Dr. Toews examining individual and familial factors as predictors of college adjustment and achievement.
