Krystle Zuniga is an Assistant Professor in the Nutrition and Foods Program in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences. She earned her doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Zuniga was a postdoctoral research associate in the Exercise Psychology Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at the University of Illinois. Dr. Zuniga is also a Registered Dietitian.
Dr. Zuniga’s research interests include identifying how physical activity and/or nutrition may reduce the risk of cancer recurrence and comorbidities. Additionally, she is interested in the relationship between cancer-related cognitive impairment in and lifestyle factors, including diet, exercise and fitness.
