Comprehensive Exam

Find detailed information regarding the comprehensive exam in the Graduate Handbook. As a reminder, the comprehensive exam will be held on the first Friday of March and September on campus at a time and location to be determined.

Students must complete the form located below via the "Comprehensive Exam" button one week prior to the scheduled exam date.

Students will be given one hour to complete each section. There are a total of four sections. The sections for the HDFS general degree students are as follows: 1. Child Development, 2. Theories, and 3. Research AND Evaluation. The sections for the child life concentration students are as follows: 1. Child Development, 2. Theory, 3. Research, 4. Child Life.


Completing a Practicum or Internship?

  • If you are completing a Child Life Internship, please make sure to complete the following form ASAP or upon registering for HDFS 5659 log onto eportfolio and complete the survey listed as HDFS Child Life Internship Form.
  • If you are completing a practicum, please make sure to complete the following form ASAP or upon registering for HDFS 5358 or 5359 complete the survey listed as HDFS Practicum Information Form.
