Family and Child Development
Family and Child Development graduates are uniquely qualified for careers helping others, contributing to society and making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Students will learn about development across the lifespan, family relationships, family interaction, family and cultural diversity, family policy, program administration, guidance, and developmentally appropriate curriculum planning for young children.
Texas State's Child Development Center offers a unique opportunity for family and child development students. This facility serves as a research and teaching practicum site for those who are interested in working in programs for young children and their families.
